The Southern District School Liaison Committee organized the "Southern District Dragon Culture Education Showcase" to give students an immersive experience of Chinese culture. In this Year of the Dragon, the committee will hold a series of dragon-themed Chinese cultural activities, including the collective calligraphy of the character "dragon" by a thousand people, a marine conservation programme in collaboration with Ocean Park, and a collective practice of the Wing Chun kung fu of the late martial artist Bruce Lee, fostering dragon culture as an educational brand for the Southern District. The "Showcase" is an education project in which the academic sector proactively connects with the district, drawing on local cultural characteristics to let students experience and immerse themselves in Chinese culture, in the belief that under dragon culture students will cultivate a temperament of "the central harmony."
